SongHub Soundfonts Explained
What .sf2 soundfonts do in SongHub and where to place them.
A soundfont (.sf2) is a bank of instrument samples. SongHub uses it to turn MIDI note data into audible instruments. Without a suitable soundfont in the sound/ folder, playback may be silent or use a poor default.
Place .sf2 files in SongHub/sound/. Larger soundfonts can sound richer but need more storage and memory. Start with a known working .sf2 from a source you trust and are allowed to use; the project’s sample releases sometimes include a reference soundfont.
