SongHub MIDI and KAR Files

MIDI (.mid) stores note, timing and control data — not recorded audio. The app (with a soundfont) turns that data into sound.

KAR files are MIDI plus lyric/text events timed to the music, so SongHub can display words on screen. Plain MIDI without lyric events may play music only.

Put song files in the songs/ folder inside your SongHub directory. Quality of timing and lyric alignment depends on how the file was made. Create your own, use public-domain/open-licensed packs, or buy authorised MIDI collections — do not expect the app to download commercial hit catalogues.
